
FM/RF assistive listening system is radio broadcast technology that transmits the sound from a public address system/microphone to a person’s hearing aids or cochlear implants (via receiver and neckloop), or receiver with headphones.
FM (frequency modulation) is a specific type of RF (radio frequency) system.
FM/RF systems have a range, 72 to 76 MHz and from 216 to 217 MHz. However, that varies around the world, 2.4 GHz is also used (100m+ range).
