Sound Advice-Curriculum Outline

The curriculum outline for Sound Advice. Following self-introductions, each session addresses 1) the need for assistive listening in addition to one’s own hearing instruments and 2) ADA rights to effective communication in public spaces. We then cover how hearing loop technology works and the role of a person’s telecoil to access any of the three required systems (FM, infrared, or hearing loop). Questions and discussions follow according to the group’s interest and needs that day, often branching into additional ways to empower one’s ability to hear better in daily settings.
