Welcome! Hearing Accessibility Information

Do you know?

  • It’s common for people to have hearing loss as the get older. (50% of people aged 60-69 and increases with age)
  • Hearing aids don’t “fix” hearing loss.
  • Not everyone wears hearing aids, and may have more difficulty understanding in public.

You can borrow a device to hear the conference more clearly (many people don’t know this). This device brings the speaker’s voice straight to your ear, cutting out background noise and giving clarity.

If you don’t borrow a device at a conference, your brain is working harder to listen, and at the end of the day, you may feel more tired. Even if you have mild hearing loss. Even if you use hearing aids. Learn more.

What You Can Expect at the Conference

For understanding the presenters clearly, the main conference room and all breakout rooms will be equipped with an FM system to enable people with hearing loss to bring the audio from microphones directly to their ears. To listen to this clear audio, at the conference simply borrow a receiver and either headphones or neckloop at no cost.
