Open captions symbol represents on-screen captions, also known as open captions, for in-person audiences where everyone will see the captions projected on a screen or LED board and cannot be turned off by an audience member. 

The CART professional can be physically located on-site or remotely. The CART provider can send captions to the main projection screen, a second screen and/or to the web for participants to view on their smartphone.
